If you’re looking for a good way to escape the Las Vegas heat, then let’s introduce your kids to the Tank Pool at the Golden Nugget. This hotel has gone all out to create a swimming experience unlike any other. Crystal-clear waters lead you beneath the rooftop of the hotel so you can escape the sun if needed. If you’re feeling particularly brave, climb up to the third floor, where you’ll find a water slide that takes you directly through the aquarium. The 200,000-gallon shark tank lets you get up close and personal with some of the ocean’s most fearsome beasts as you fly right through. Once you want to take a break from swimming, head over to one of the 17 private cabanas. It’s sure to be one of your kids’ top things to do in Las Vegas!

Once you’re done seeing the kings of the sea, head over to The Lion Habitat Ranch. Here, you can kick it with the kings of the jungle for your next fun thing to do with kids in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas ranch is home to the retired lions who once made the MGM exhibit so lively for kids. Today, the lions live out their days bathing in the sun and showing off for visitors. On top of providing an ethical place for the former show lions, the funds from the center go to protect wild lion habitats across the globe. You can choose different experiences, including general admission, where you can see the lions, the birds, and a real-life giraffe. You can also select a virtual tour or select a behind-the-scenes tour.

Discovery Children’s Museum was built with your Las Vegas kid’s imagination in mind and is a local favorite. This space provides hands-on activities designed to get your child thinking. If your child is always seeking an adventure, you can head over to The Summit, where you’ll find a 70-foot tower that takes them up over 2,200 square feet. Do they prefer to stick on the ground? Then, head on over to the Discovery Lab, where they can run their own experiments and find out all about the world around them. They can run their own town in Eco City or create an invention at the Patents Pending. In addition, there is a Toddler Town where the youngest guests can safely explore.

If the 12 floors of the Discovery Children’s Museum aren’t enough for your thrill-seeking kids, then check out the Las Vegas High Roller Wheel, located at the Caesar Hotel. With this Ferris wheel, you will be tucked into a cabin where you can soar high and see the busy Vegas streets buzzing below you. This experience lasts for roughly 30 minutes and takes you 550 feet about the strip. There are 28 large cabins with windows surrounding you so you can have 360-degree views. Children under the age of 3 can ride the wheel for free. If you could also use a date night activity, come back for their 21+ rides where you can enjoy happy hour with a view.

No matter what you’re looking for when it comes to things to do in Las Vegas with kids, I’m betting The Adventuredome at Circus Circus is going to have it. This huge space provides you with classic carnival rides and indoor roller coasters. You can ride around on a gallant steed with their carousel or cool off on the Canyon Blaster. If rides really aren’t your thing, you can head over to the arcade, where you can find classic games or laser mazes. The center lives up to its name with its clown shows that pop up throughout the area. You can also check out free circus acts or head over to their ticketed VR theaters, where you can see studio productions in a brand-new way.
