One thing you quickly learn in parenthood is that not every park is created equally. There are some where elementary-aged kids rule the lot with an iron first, and there are others where anyone over the age of 4 will get bored in two seconds flat. When you’re trying to plan the perfect day out, you are likely considering different factors so your morning isn’t a total bust. If you are looking for the best places to take your family, I would love to give you my definitive list of the best playgrounds in Las Vegas. Hopefully, with these options, you will have a wonderful place where you can sit back, relax, and let your children have the time of their lives! 

Plan Some Fun Family Days Outside With These Favorite Playgrounds In Las Vegas

Rainbow Family Park

7151 W. Oakey Blvd., Las Vegas, Nevada 89117

Rainbow Family Park gives you a lush green space where kids of all ages will find something to do. The primary playground is better for Las Vegas children ages 4-12. It features climbing walls and steep slides that might be a little scary for toddlers. These areas are shaded and separated by a fence. Nearby, there is an open water play area where younger kids can happily splash around. The park also features belt and bucket swings, a baseball diamond, and an outdoor gym. 

Raptor Play Park

6075 N. Durango Drive, Las Vegas, Nevada 89149

Raptor Play Park has a Las Vegas playground that is instantly recognizable by the fighter jet sculpture celebrating the Nellis Air Force Base. The playground can easily be climbed by children starting at the age of 18 months. The entire structure is shaded, keeping it cooler through the summer months. There are surrounding benches, but these are located just outside of the shade. In addition, there is a water play feature.

Stupak Park

300 W Boston Ave, Las Vegas, Nevada 89102

Stupak Park is a thoughtfully designed park that packs in some pretty premium city views. The park has two playgrounds: one for ages 2-5 and another for ages 5-12. The playgrounds have been built beneath shade, and there are benches scattered throughout in their own private pavilions. The park additionally features synthetic turf soccer fields complete with nets and lights. 

Children’s Memorial Park

6601 W. Gowan Road, Las Vegas, Nevada 89108

Children’s Memorial Park is another place with a little bit of everything. The primary playground structure here can work for Las Vegas kids ages 2-12. On one end, there are steep, winding slides where older kids can play. Younger kids might need supervision as they go upstairs and glide down the shorter slides. There are bocce and horseshoe courts, various sports fields, walking and jogging paths, and a roller hockey rink.

Bob Baskin Park

2801 W. Oakey Blvd., Las Vegas, Nevada 89102

When the temperatures heat up, Bob Baskin Park is the place to go. The main playground is best for kids ages 2-8. There are short steps, smaller slides, and a winding slide at the end. The entire structure is shaded, and there are swing sets nearby. The big draw of this park is the water play area with large structures that will keep your kids cool all summer long. One end features a fence, while the other features a pavilion with shaded seating. 

Wilbur & Theresa Faiss Park

7025 S Fort Apache Rd, Las Vegas, Nevada 89178

Wilbur & Theresa Faiss Park is one of the best spots around for kids of all ages. This bright aqua playground features sails that keep the structures cool. There is a smaller playground with stairs, shorter slides, and matching games. The bigger playground is ideal for kids up to the age of 12. They can race down steep slides, run across bridges, and scale the structure. Additionally, a large pavilion separates the two spaces.

Cougar Creek Park

6635 W Cougar Ave, Las Vegas, Nevada 89139

Cougar Creek Park has a playground and one of the biggest splash pads in Las Vegas. The playground itself features sails, lights, and structures that kids ages 2 and up can manage. There’s a rolling slide that younger kids will love. The splash pad incorporates natural elements, including rocks your child can climb. In addition, there are musical play areas as well as a zipline with a chair. 

Echo Trail Park

5655 S Buffalo Dr., Las Vegas, Nevada 89113

Echo Trail Park is a bright and colorful playground with separate structures for older and younger kids. If you are on the search for a place where you can bring mixed-aged siblings, look no further! Each of the play areas is covered with coordinating sails. There are benches around the area, so you can sit and keep an eye on the kids. During the warmer months, they turn on the splash pad located right near the playgrounds.

Exploration Peak Park

9275 S. Buffalo Drive, Las Vegas, Nevada 89178

Exploration Peak Park is a charming space with an Old West theme. When I say this is a fun place for ages, I mean it! The park is giant, with play structures at every turn. Daredevils can scale the several-story-tall lookout while younger kids can dive through a fake mine in the tube slide. Then, find pretend reptiles for Las Vegas kids to climb, as well as a tot-friendly playground with ramps and slides. Cool off afterward in the splash pad located slightly away from the playgrounds. Heads up, the park uses wood chips, so plan your footwear accordingly!

Lone Mountain Park

4445 N Jensen Street, Las Vegas, Nevada 89129

Lone Mountain is a large park with climbable structures located throughout. This park features multiple playgrounds, and the ones built near parking lots stay gated. The park has a tot-friendly playground where kids up to the age of 5 can play. There’s plenty of space for your child to run around, so you’ll never have to worry about older siblings growing bored!
